International Product Manager Poultry Africa

What will your responsibilities be?

As international product manager poultry you are the spider in the web for our poultry projects supporting the growth and development of our local business in the Africa region. In this role, you translate (internal) customer and market needs into projects to improve and innovate our concepts, services and feed programs. You are the internal sparring partner for our local commercial organization, product managers and technical specialists. You like to exchange practical and commercial nutritional knowledge and facilitate local empowerment. Based on local market developments you find the synergies between formulation, purchase, production, R&D, marketing and IT to organize our concept and service application. You will cooperate with De Heus’ partners in the value chain and contribute to sustainable nutritional and data-driven solutions.

Next to this, you maintain a relevant science and business network in order to bring new ideas and technologies into our company.

You will work in our enthusiastic global poultry team and report to the Group Manager Support Poultry.

What do we expect from you?

• You have an MSc in Animal Nutrition or comparable degree and at least 5 years relevant work experience.
• Experience in poultry nutrition and feed formulation is required.
• Transforming technical knowledge on nutrition and the poultry chain into practical and commercially relevant solutions is your talent.
• You like coaching of people to facilitate local empowerment.
• Your excellent coordinating skills will enable you to initiate and lead projects. 
• You are passionate about developing the poultry market, like responsibility and are agile.

• You can connect easily. Work experience in Africa and experience with different cultures is a preference.
• Willingness to travel average 20 – 30% time a year to different countries in Africa region
