Senior Researcher Poultry
What will your responsibilities be?
As a senior researcher poultry, you are responsible for setting up and conducting a major part of our research program. You will conduct the research, process the results and give clear recommendations to our product developer, (international) product managers, nutritionists and specialists. Together, you help to translate research results into new concepts, services and feed programs. The research takes place at our research facilities in the Netherlands, Poland and Vietnam. In our research we focus on practical applications for our customers, to keep their animals healthy and drive optimal production. Solutions should be suitable for local markets in order to create an outperforming range of products and services. Next to this, you develop and maintain a broad international network with universities, research institutes and suppliers, to ensure good ideation and development of new concepts. You will report to the Team Leader R&D Poultry.
What do we expect from you?
You have a MSc or PhD degree in Animal Sciences and you have gained experience in the field of poultry nutrition, data processing and reporting. Besides a good theoretical understanding of the fundamentals of animal nutrition, you have also successfully applied this knowledge before in practical research.
Collaborating with others in projects is something that suits you. While being creative and able to think out of the box, your analytic skills enable you to clearly and concisely present obtained research results. Your communication skills make it easy to connect with people from various backgrounds and cultures. Yet, you do not only limit yourself to the opinions of others, but also develop your own vision on how to move forward and move beyond the status quo.
A passion for poultry and research is crucial. You are interested in connecting daily practice to our research program and bringing our nutritional concepts to a higher level. Reading professional literature and attending relevant seminars and conferences are common ways for you to stay up-to-date on and connected to the world of poultry nutrition.
Our ideal candidate is an expert, is resourceful and has a winning mentality. Your analytical skills are outstanding. You are strong in communication with a creative mind and a real team player. You need to be fluent in English.
