Trainee Purchasing & Trading

What will be your role?

We offer a two-year traineeship program that lets you dive into the fast-paced world of international trade. You will join the team that oversees De Heus’s purchase operations of commodities needed to produce our feed. You will help devise strategies to time the market to minimize our raw material costs and trade future contracts for both hedging and speculation purposes. During your traineeship, you will specialize in one commodity and become the go-to expert for all matters involving this product – from analyzing the market at a global scale to providing operational support at our business units, on-site if needed.

• Build a strong network of suppliers, brokers and analysts. You will have plenty of social activities (abroad) in the form of supplier visits, exchange conferences and dinners.
• Develop yourself broadly. You will not just sharpen your analytical skills, but also learn about negotiation strategies, relationship management, contract law, .... You will get exposure to all departments at De Heus and you can follow trainings to boost both your hard and soft skills.
