De Heus honoured at the "El Suplemento National Awards" for the quality of its products
"This award comes as a result of the commitment to quality by a great team of professionals, who strive every day to offer livestock farmers the best animal feed plans", with these words Jaime Alcañiz, Marketing and Strategy Director of De Heus, collected the "Quality Product" award presented by El Suplemento.
The El Suplemento National Award recognises this Dutch multinational for its ongoing capacity for improvement and its investment in development and innovation through its own experimental livestock farms, high-tech laboratories and R&D centres, which enable it to bring products focused on efficiency, animal welfare and sustainability to the market.
"Animal nutrition is their speciality and so they collaborate with leading international universities and research centres to promote scientific evidence in this field. By generating knowledge, they contribute to the development of the agricultural sector, improving living conditions and boosting the economy of the local communities in which they operate," the organisation explained.
The recognition has put the spotlight on the Equifeed® product range, a nutritional plan designed for leisure, sport and breeding horses, recently launched by De Heus which is made up of a complete range of feeds formulated by specialists to guarantee the health of these animals and improve their performance.
"The De Heus Animal Nutrition team has worked for months with nutritionists and veterinarians specialised in equine health to create this innovative programme, which adapts to the physical activity and stage of the horse's life to maximise its wellbeing and meet its nutritional needs at all times," they explained.
The animal nutrition company was awarded for "its capacity for continuous improvement and its investment in development and innovation, which allows them to bring products to the market focused on efficiency, animal welfare and sustainability".
Jaime Alcañiz, who thanked everyone, highlighted the company's short and long-term objectives: "We will continue to work hand in hand with farmers to add value to the sector and be leaders in animal nutrition, always guided by the sustainability of the business and the environment. We want to continue to grow in Spain, both in terms of strategic investments and influence in the national market. Our aim is to be close to our customers, offering nutritional solutions capable of responding to the needs of each farm and species".
The 10th edition of the El Suplemento National Awards was held on 30 September at The Westin Palace Hotel in Madrid with the aim of "rewarding and thanking the work of all the professionals in our country who, with their effort and dedication, manage to maintain the Spanish business network".
"We want to continue to grow in Spain, both in strategic investments and in influence in the national market. Our goal is to be close to our customers, offering nutritional solutions capable of responding to the needs of each farm and species".
Among the award winners, in addition to De Heus Animal Nutrition, are personalities such as María Jiménez, awarded for her musical career, Vicente Vallés, awarded in the Communication category, and the Ochotumbao Foundation, of Clara Lago and Dani Rovira.
